This INMOX Privacy Policy (this "Policy") describes how Sichuan Yingmu Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliates ("we", "us", "our", or "INMO") collect, use, disclose, process, and protect the information you provide to us when you use the INMOX application (the "App") and the companion INMO smart glasses products and services. We are committed to processing your personal information in accordance with this Policy and applicable laws, and to ensuring that you remain in control of the personal information you provide to us.

In this Policy, "personal information" means data that, on its own or combined with other information available to us, can identify a specific individual, such as your name, address, phone number, and email address. "Sensitive personal information" means personal information that, if leaked or used unlawfully, may easily lead to harm to a person's dignity or to their personal or property safety, such as government ID numbers, biometric information, financial account numbers, precise location data, and personal information of children under the age of 14.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use INMOX products and services. By tapping "Agree" and using our products and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted all terms described in this Policy, including any updates we may make from time to time.

Unless otherwise defined, terms used in this Policy have the same meanings as in the INMOX Terms of Service.

1. What Information We Collect and How We Use It

We follow the principles of lawfulness, legitimacy, necessity, and good faith. We process your personal information only for the business functions and purposes described below, with your consent or on another lawful basis permitted by applicable law. You are not required to provide the permissions or personal information described below; however, if you choose not to, some features may be unavailable to you.

  1. Account Registration and Sign-in. When you register or sign in to an INMOX account, we collect your mobile phone number or email address, SMS/email verification codes, nickname, and profile photo (avatar). This information is used to create and secure your account. If you do not provide it, you may not be able to use our services.
  2. Device Pairing, Binding, and Activation. When you pair, bind, or activate compatible INMO smart glasses, we collect the glasses' Bluetooth MAC address, device model, serial number (SN), device ID, and firmware version, as well as your phone model. This information is collected automatically after you grant Bluetooth and related permissions, and is used to discover, pair, bind, and activate the glasses and to maintain the connection between the glasses and the App.
  3. Service Operation Logs. To keep our services running properly, improve your experience, and protect your account, we collect log information such as device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, app ID, sign-in IP address, network hardware (MAC) address, network access type and status, operation logs, and service logs (such as browsing history and crash/fault information). This is basic information required to provide the services.
  4. Cycling Intercom and Voice Features. When you use the cycling intercom feature on supported devices or other voice-related features, we request microphone permission and collect and transmit your voice/audio data. This data is collected only when you actively use these features and is necessary to provide real-time intercom calls and voice interaction.
  5. AI Assistant. When you use the AI assistant, we collect the text and voice content of your interactions and necessary device identifiers. This content is transmitted to our servers and processed by third-party AI model service providers engaged by us, solely to generate AI responses on our instructions. We use this information to understand your requests, provide the AI conversation service, and improve service quality.
  6. Pet AI Recognition. When you use pet photo recognition, pet expression recognition, or pet voice translation features, we collect the pet photos, videos, and related audio you capture or upload, and transmit them to our servers and our engaged third-party AI model service providers for AI processing. This is used to recognize pet breeds and expressions and to generate entertainment translation results. Please avoid including faces, home addresses, or other sensitive personal information of yourself or others in the captured content; if content includes another person's personal information, please make sure you have obtained their consent.
  7. AI Image Generation and Comics. When you use AI image-to-image generation or comic generation features, we collect the original photos you capture or upload and transmit them to our servers and our engaged third-party AI model service providers to generate images and comics. We also store the generated results and generation records so you can view and manage your works in the App. If you delete your works or your account, we will handle the related information as described in Section 5.
  8. Camera, Photos, and Avatar Upload. When you use photo/video capture or set a profile photo, we request access to your camera, photo library/album, and microphone. If you decline these permissions, the related features will be unavailable, but you can still use other features of the App.
  9. Location. When you use location-based services (such as location recording in cycling scenarios or local weather), we collect and process your device's approximate or precise location, obtained via GPS, WLAN, and network service provider IDs. You can disable location permission at any time in your device settings.
  10. Firmware Updates (OTA). When you use over-the-air firmware updates for your glasses, we collect the device model, serial number, current firmware version, update installation logs, and update result feedback, in order to match and deliver the correct firmware package and to diagnose update failures.
  11. Safety and Security. To protect the security of your account, network access, and our services, we collect device model, operating system, device identifiers (e.g., Android ID/OAID, which may vary by system version), app information (package name, version, runtime status, and related event information), network access type and status, and operation/service logs.
  12. Third-Party Services. Third-party services within the App are provided by external third parties, and we cannot obtain information generated by your use of such third-party services. However, if you have expressly consented to a third party obtaining personal information you provided to us (such as avatar, nickname, phone number, or location), that third party may obtain such information through the relevant App interfaces.
  13. Customer Support. When you contact us, we may collect your contact details (phone number or other contact information you proactively provide), your communications with us (text/images/call records), and other necessary information, in order to assist you and keep records of how issues were handled.
  14. Processing Without Consent Where Permitted by Law. In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, we may collect and use your personal information without your consent where the processing is: directly related to national security or major public interests; directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, or enforcement of judgments; necessary to protect the life, property, or other major lawful interests of you or others where consent is difficult to obtain; of personal information you have voluntarily made public or that has been lawfully disclosed; necessary to enter into or perform a contract at your request; necessary to maintain the safe and stable operation of our products or services; or otherwise permitted by laws and regulations.
  15. Our features and services evolve over time. If a new feature or service collects information not described above, we will separately inform you of the scope, purpose, type, and method of collection, and obtain your consent or another lawful basis.

2. How We Store Your Personal Information

(a) Where We Store It

Your personal information is stored on our servers. Personal information collected and generated in our operations within the Chinese mainland is stored within the territory of the People's Republic of China, except where laws and regulations provide otherwise or where we have obtained your explicit authorization.

(b) How Long We Keep It

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. The criteria we use to determine retention periods include: completing the service purposes related to you, maintaining service and business records, and responding to your possible inquiries or complaints; ensuring the security and quality of our services; whether you have agreed to a longer retention period; and whether other specific agreements on retention exist.

After your personal information exceeds the retention period, we will delete it or anonymize it as required by applicable law.

(c) Deletion and Anonymization upon Service Shutdown

If the App ceases operation, we will stop collecting your personal information, notify you of the shutdown by announcement, and delete or anonymize the personal information we hold. Where children's personal information is involved, we will promptly notify their guardians.

3. How We Share, Transfer, and Disclose Your Personal Information

(a) Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties, except:

  1. With your explicit consent, after informing you of the third party's name, contact information, processing purpose, processing method, and the types of personal information involved;
  2. Where required by applicable laws, regulations, legal proceedings, litigation/arbitration, mandatory government orders, or regulatory requirements;
  3. Where necessary, to the extent required or permitted by law, to protect you, the public, or our users from harm to their interests, property, or safety;
  4. Where necessary to protect national security, public security, or the major lawful rights and interests of you and others;
  5. Where the personal information has been made public by you or lawfully obtained from other public channels;
  6. With business partners where necessary to provide our products/services. For example, to provide the AI assistant, pet recognition, and AI image generation features, we engage third-party AI model service providers to process the text, voice, and image content you submit; such providers process this content only on our instructions and only as necessary to provide the relevant features. We share personal information only for lawful, legitimate, necessary, specific, and explicit purposes, and only to the minimum extent necessary.

(b) Transfer

We do not transfer the personal information we process to any company, organization, or individual, except: (i) with your explicit consent; or (ii) in the event of a merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy liquidation, in which case we will require the new holder of your personal information to remain bound by this Policy or obtain your consent anew.

(c) Public Disclosure

We do not publicly disclose your personal information, except: (i) with your explicit consent or at your active choice; (ii) where required by law, legal proceedings, litigation, or competent government authorities; or (iii) where disclosure is reasonable and necessary for the public interest.

4. How We Protect Your Personal Information

We take your information security seriously and employ technical measures (including encryption, intrusion prevention, and anti-virus measures) and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, damage, or loss.

You are also responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. If you find that someone is using your account without your permission, please contact us immediately.

In the unfortunate event of a security incident (such as information leakage or loss), we will, as required by law, promptly inform you of the basic situation and possible impact, the measures we have taken or will take, suggestions for you to mitigate risks, and the remedies available to you, via push notification or, where individual notice is impracticable, by public announcement. We will also report the handling of the incident to regulators as required.

5. Your Rights

We respect your rights as a data subject. Depending on your jurisdiction (including, where applicable, under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)), you may have the following rights:

  1. Access: You may access this Policy and review the personal information we hold about you.
  2. Correction: If you find that your personal information is inaccurate or incomplete, you may correct or supplement it in the relevant interface, or request that we do so. We may need to verify your identity first.
  3. Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal information, including where we collected or used it in violation of law or this Policy, where you no longer use our products or services, where you have deleted your account, or where we no longer provide the products or services. Due to legal and technical constraints, information may not be immediately removed from backup systems; in that case we will securely store it and restrict further processing until backups can be cleared or anonymized.
  4. Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your consent to our collection, use, and/or disclosure of your personal information. After withdrawal, we will no longer process the corresponding personal information, and the related features may become unavailable; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out based on your consent before withdrawal.
  5. Account Deletion: You may delete your INMOX account at any time in the App's account settings or by contacting us. After account deletion, unless otherwise required by law, we will stop providing services to you and delete or anonymize your personal information at your request.
  6. Data Portability: You may obtain a copy of the personal information we have collected about you and, where conditions under applicable law are met, request that we transfer it to a third party designated by you.
  7. Non-Discrimination (where applicable): We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10. For security, we may first ask you to verify your identity. We do not charge a fee for reasonable requests, but may charge a cost-based fee for repeated requests exceeding reasonable limits, and may decline requests that are unfounded, repetitive, require disproportionate technical means, or jeopardize the lawful rights and interests of others, or that involve matters such as national security, public safety, criminal investigations, or trade secrets, as permitted by law.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

When you use our services, we may use cookies and similar device-identification technologies to collect and identify information about your use of the App, in order to ensure the secure and efficient operation of our products and services, confirm the security status of your account, diagnose crashes and latency, and save you from repeatedly filling in forms. We will not use cookies for any purpose other than those described in this Policy. You can manage or delete cookies according to your preferences through your browser or by clearing data stored in the App; doing so may affect your experience and the security of the services you use.

7. International Transfers

Personal information collected and generated within the Chinese mainland is stored within the territory of the People's Republic of China. If we need to transfer your personal information to other countries or regions, we will inform you of the types of personal information transferred, the purposes and methods of the transfer, the name and contact information of the overseas recipient, and the means and procedures for you to exercise your rights against the recipient, and we will fulfill the corresponding compliance obligations and obtain your separate consent as required by applicable law.

8. Children's Privacy

Our products and services are intended primarily for adults, and we do not knowingly collect, use, or share personal information of minors, especially children under 14 (or the age threshold applicable in your jurisdiction). Because age and date of birth are not required information, we may be unable to identify your age accurately. Unless guardian consent has been obtained, minors — especially children under 14 — should not use an INMOX account or provide us with any personal information. If you believe we have collected a child's personal information without guardian consent, please contact us using the details in this Policy, and we will verify and delete the relevant data as soon as possible. If you are a guardian, please ensure that any minor under your guardianship uses INMOX products and services only with your authorization and consent.

9. Miscellaneous

This Policy takes effect on the date shown below the title. We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time; modifications take effect upon publication of the latest version. For material changes, we will notify you by push notification, pop-up, or other appropriate means when you sign in to the App. If you do not agree with the modifications, please stop using the App after such notice is published.

(b) Third-Party Terms

This Policy does not apply to products and services provided by third parties. Our products and services may include third-party products, services, and links to third-party websites over which we have no control. Such third parties are not bound by this Policy; please review their privacy policies before submitting personal information to them.
